STATUS OF AN ATHLETE

- The status of prospective student athlete may be granted to a student who is registered with a national branch sports federation and competes in the official competition systems of the national branch sports federations.

- The status of a top-level student athlete may be awarded to a student who achieves a top-level sporting achievement of international value.

- The status of student competitor may be acquired by a student who is preparing for international competitions in knowledge or other international educational or cultural events and exchanges.

To apply for status, a student must apply in writing to the school where he or she has student status and is fulfilling the majority of the requirements of the educational programme.

The principle shall decide on the application for status no later than 30 days after receiving a complete application by means of a decision, which shall be delivered to the pupil no later than 8 days after the decision.

The reasons for the suspension and termination of the status under these Regulations shall also be given to the pupil in the statement of reasons for the decision to grant the status.

A personal education plan shall be annexed to the decision granting the status.

The decision to grant status shall be valid for a maximum of one school year.
